Careers Support
Having clear career goals helps students to remain motivated and focused on their studies, so we work with them to plan their next career step beyond the Sixth Form. Whether students want to go to university, into employment or onto an Apprenticeship, we work with them to achieve their career aspirations.
Progressing to university
For those students wishing to apply to university, they will be able to access individual support to help them from a dedicated UCAS Advisor. All Year 12 students will have the opportunity to attend the annual UCAS Fair at Bedford University with over 200 stands representing the majority of universities around the country.
Following this, they will have a day in school to start their UCAS application with support from teachers and past students who have undertaken the process.
This is an ongoing process and individual support is available as required.
Guidance documents are available here to help with personal statements.
Students are permitted to attend up to three university open days during school time. However, advance notice should be provided and the relevant request form completed.
